Last time we heard from Holy Ghost! it was about the video for their remix of LCD Soundsystem’s “Drunk Girls.” You might have also heard them during their recent string of shows opening for LCD. On “On I Know, I Hear” Holy Ghost! are doing their own thing, though the track/video features Charlift’s Caroline Polachek on guest backing vocals. Their video performance is shot in black and white, and the old video stock gives everything a (holy) ghostly feel to it — everyone has transparent, fuzzy edges. The song begins with an audio sample that sounds like it’s from a calibration tape for the Prophet 5 synthesizer. And it looks like the Prophet 5 is also responsible for the wah-ing, addictive lead hook. The clip was directed by Ben Fries.
