Palms is the glitchy (and very arty) avant-pop duo of German documentary filmmaker/vocalist Nadja Korinth and multi-instrumentalist New Yorker Ryan Schaefer. They released their debut It’s Midnight In Honolulu via Brooklyn Here Comes The Indian producer/Water Curses mixer/Campfire Songs masterer Nicolas Vernhes’ Rare Book Room Records, which makes the Animal Collective connection pretty obvious: The most invisible AC member Deakin, aka Josh Dibb, gives a go at album track “Boundary Waters.”
